School Food Innovations Toward Increasing Speciality Crops: A Systems Approach! Register Now
This one-day training on June 19th, 2013 from 8am-3:00pm provides tools to support an increase of fresh fruits and vegetables through panels, interactive sessions, demonstrations, and technical assistance exploring distribution and sourcing, recipes and preparations, promotions & marketing, as well as cost savings, funding, and enhancements to policy. This FREE training is targeting school food service staff, professionals, and farm to school partner growers/distributors.
The training will be followed by a meal standards implementation forum taking place from 3:00-4:45pm. This separare event is co-sponsored by the Central Coast School Food Alliance, California Food Policy Advocates, Go For Health Policy & School Food Committees, Congressman Sam Farr, & CA State Senator Bill Monning to provide a space for insight and sharing of successful implementation strategies moving forward (click here for more details)
