USDA Team Nutrition

  • USDA Team Nutrition - training and technical assistance for foodservice, nutrition education for children and their caregivers, and school and community support for healthy eating and physical activity. Apply to be a HealthierUS School. 
  • HealthierUS School Challenge a voluntary initiative to recognize those schools participating in the National School Lunch Program that have created healthier school environments through promotion of nutrition and physical activity. Monetary awards are given to schools/districts that achieve HUSSC standards
  • Choosemyplate.gov Healthy eating recommendations and resources from the USDA's Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion.

Lets Move
  • Lets Move Campaign First Lady, Michelle Obama, launches an effort to raise a healthier generation of kids.
  • Salad Bar to Schools A Let’s Move grant program designed to help schools establish salad bars. Register your school or district to start raising funds 
  • Chef's Move to Schools Local chefs supporting school food efforts. Register your school or look for a participating chef.

  • Farm to School National Program Farm to School connects schools (K-12) and local farms with the objectives of serving healthy meals in school cafeterias, improving student nutrition, providing agriculture, health and nutrition education opportunities, and supporting local and regional farmers.  This site hosts many resources and offers technical assistance for districts interested in establishing a farm to school program.
