The Act the Mandates Wellness Policies:
 The Child Nutrition and Women Infants and Children (WIC) Reauthorization Act of 2004  (Sec. 204 of P.L. 108-205) [pdf 20K] requires by law that all local education agencies participating in the National School Lunch Program create local wellness policies no later than June 2006.
